Republishing Hyun Bin's Marine Photobook in Japan was finally stopped

 

Amid controversy over the fact that actor Hyun Bin's “Marine Photobook” will be re-published in Japan, the publisher eventually stopped releasing it.

Asahi Publishing Company recently posted a notice of suspension of publication and an apology on its website. They said, "The Korean publishing company that has the copyright of the original book has canceled the contract for publishing the translation of'Hyunbin, every day in the Marines'. So, we have canceled the release plan on September 7, 2020."

And “I sincerely apologize for causing inconvenience to many who were expecting the publication. I'm sorry.”

The pictorial was published in Korea as an electronic book entitled “The Beautiful Man, Hyun Bin's Marine Diary,” and in 2014, it was published in the form of an offline photobook under a contract with a Japanese publishing company. Recently, the TVN drama “Crash Landing on You,” starring Hyun Bin, gained tremendous popularity in Japan, and the reprint was promoted.

However, Hyunbin's agency VAST Entertainment said, “We have not received any information in advance regarding the publication of the photobook. "It is a problem to try to take private interests using photographs taken for the public interest of marines." When the news came, local fans canceled the purchase reservation.
